New level and HDR support on PS4

New level "Future Tense" with retro allusions [19659006] The highlight of the update is certainly the new level "Future Tense", which according to the developers has been completely redesigned. Vicarious promises a particularly difficult challenge full of secret areas to explore. At the same time, "Future Tense" contains many allusions to the cascade level cut from "Crash Bandicoot". The level of the waterfall was based on the idea of ​​climbing a huge waterfall in dense jungle through tree trunks. In Future Tense, Crash raises a skyscraper by jumping on elevators.

Best Load Times and HDR Support

In addition, owners of the "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" will notice some improvements in the update. These provide, among other things, improved loading times, which are made possible by the so-called nitro charging technology of Vicarious. With the new loading behavior, the game will predict what level content it will need to load into memory. In addition, the most used assets are kept dynamically at the launch of the game.

The game also receives HDR support for the update PS4 and PS4 Pro. If the console and the TV support HDR, the feature will be automatically activated at the beginning of the game.

"Stormy Ascent" freely available

For "Crash Bandicoot " the fans are here again more good news. As Vicarious Visions explained further, the first DLC "Stormy Ascent" is now available again for free download to all PS4 players. "Stormy Ascent" is a particularly heavy level that has been carved out by Naughty Dog developers during its original development.

Since June 29, 2018, the exclusive PS4 "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" also available for PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. "Stormy Ascent" and "Future Tense" are also playable on these platforms.
