Named Riddle: Despite the name of Galaxy Watch, Samsung's next watch seems to be the direct successor to the Gear S3 and its operation with Tizen OS.

All of this, however, does not explain why Samsung is not calling its next "Gear S4" smartwatch, but Galaxy Watch. One possible reason could be a lot of innovations. From Samsung's point of view, the Galaxy brand can probably be marketed more effectively. Fortunately, all official details of the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Note 9 will be available in a few weeks. Samsung's next big unpacked event will be on August 9, 2018.
