Samsung phones mistakenly send photos to contacts

An error with potential Spooky: A bug in the application Samsung News seems to send random pictures from the photo gallery to contacts, such as futurezone.at writing.

In Androidpolice, some users report that the affected photos are images that they have already sent; others say that entire galleries have been shipped.

It is particularly unpleasant that messages sent do not even appear in the mailing box. So maybe you have no idea that pictures have been sent. In this case, it is only learned via mobile operators (eg the billing application), which lists the MMS sent.

Up to now, only users in the United States have reported this problem with Galaxy S9 and Note 8 . However, it is possible that other Samsung smartphones are also affected.

How to protect yourself

The error probably comes from the latest update of Samsung Messages. If you have not installed it yet, it is best to avoid it. However, if you have already updated, you can do the following:
