I think it's nice that the show is trying to be a little more open about body shapes. But I must say: for me it was far from winding. We must therefore look for the curves.
Is there a maximum weight for "sinuous" models?
The market is quite open, but we are looking for a model that works well and is very reserved. And the usual sizes that are reserved are 42/44
How do you think the size 42 models are not just called "models" but need the "curvy" suffix?
I am double-crossed. On the one hand, I wonder who actually defined that a normal model is thin. I think it's a pity. In the end, we are all doing the same job. On the other hand, I also understand this categorization. Until now, we have learned that a model is very thin, very tall and just very, very thin. As long as the ideal has not yet broken out and as different body types are celebrated as the ideal of beauty, we need this attribute "sinuous".
The size 42 is rather average for women in Germany. In the fashion world, however, models are considered oversize models in size.
This is absolutely disastrous for me, of course. In the world of fashion, the size is normal at 34/36, and in the real world, it is 42 or more. I find that appalling. When I say in my environment that I am a model for oversized people, people applaud and ask themselves, "What am I doing then?" It's pretty heavy. We want the show to encourage women to say, "I love curves, I love it, it's just me."
Is there a moment for you that has shown: you do not have to be super skinny to be handsome?
The moment of confirmation was in front of the mirror with my mother. At puberty, of course, I had uncertainties about my curves because I did not know: how are you? Is this allowed? My mother then stood in front of me with the mirror and said to me, "You are perfect like you are." That's what she always said and that's what I said. really built.
