Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris adds the original character Medina Orthinanos

Bandai Namco released a new trailer, game sequences and information for Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris during an event on stage at Sword of art online Meeting of the drummers 2019.

An original new character called Medina Orthinanos (voiced by Miho Okasaki) will appear in the game. She is the ninth-generation girl at the head of the Orthinanos family, a noble family of the second class. Although she normally has a calm personality, she displays a different, more bellicose attitude to combat. In order to eliminate the dishonor that stains her family name, her mission is to become stronger and more distinguished in combat.

Nobunaga Shimazaki, an actor from Eugeo, also hinted that the game would involve a survival lane for Eugeo. "And what's good is that there's even a story after defeating the administrator," said Shimazaki. "What happens to Alice the Knight of Integrity and Alice Zuberg? What happens when Eugeo is alive? Stories like this one will be explored.

Bandai Namco also confirmed that the PlayStation 4 version of Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2019, which will take place from September 12 to 15 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. A show is scheduled for September 14th.

Tomo Hirokawa will be the author of a manga adaptation of the game, which includes the new character Medina. Hirokawa was also responsible for the manga adaptation of Sword Art Online: hollow realization.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
