SyFy (anybody else still pissed off by this spelling) has canceled Krypton after two seasons. He also decided not to go ahead with a Lobo derived series. Despite the successful launch of the Prequel series, the network apparently decided not to achieve enough after falling 50% in season 2. Deadline, the source of this story, reports that licensing fees and the difficulty of making money with expensive emissions like Krypton are likely to blame.

This is not just bad news, there are rumors that the show would be bought on other networks and streaming services. The program may end up on DC Universe or the next issue of HBO Max. Although a 50% drop in ratings is pretty bad. Who would have ever thought that a Superman show without Superman would not succeed as well?
