The New York Mets placed pitcher Noah Syndergaard on the 10-day wounded list with a tense hamstring.

The Mets announced Sunday their change of lineup, one day after the injury suffered by Syndergaard on his departure against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Syndergaard had to have an MRI on Sunday morning. The Mets have not revealed any timetable to know how long the ruthless right-winger will be left out.

New York activated second-base player Robinson Cano of the 10-day IL in a matching move. Cano, who suffers from a left quadriceps injury for a month, is beating his fifth Sunday against the Cardinals.

Syndergaard is 5-4 with an ERA 4.55.
