TechCrunch was the first to report this failure of T-Mobile. Down Detector suggests that the problems started around 6 pm ET. A quick search on Twitter reveals that countless users complain about not being able to use their T-Mobile service to call or send SMS.

Some people say they are still able to use their mobile data, while others say that calls and text messaging are all that is affected. Anyway, it's clear that T-Mobile is suffering from some sort of failure – and that its reach may vary among users.

TechCrunch said:

We tested with a T-Mobile phone at the office. Calls to and from the T-Mobile phone have failed. When we tried to send a text message, the message could not be sent.

A T-Mobile spokesperson did not immediately comment, but a T-Mobile support account said that the cell giant had "hired our engineers and worked on a resolution."

Are you a T-Mobile user? Do you have any call, text messaging or data problems tonight? Let us know in the comments. We will make sure to update when T-Mobile provides more details about this failure, and when it will be fully resolved for users.
