T-Mobile recently experienced a data breach in which some of its customers had their information, including “call information” exposed to hackers.
In a notice posted on its website, the telecom giant said a security incident had occurred that resulted in improper access to “customer proprietary network information” (CPNI). Some of the CPNIs may include “the phone number, the number of lines subscribed to your account, and in some cases, call information collected as part of the normal operation of your wireless service,” T-Mobile said.
The company added that the breach, which is believed to have affected around 200,000 customers, did not include financial information, such as account names, credit card information, social security numbers, tax ID. , passwords or PIN codes.

In 2018, a breach impacted the personal information of 2 million customers, with hackers gaining access to names, billing zip codes, email addresses, phone numbers and account data. In 2019, another million prepaid customers saw their information compromised by hackers.

In March 2020, the company suffered another loophole, after hackers gained access to T-Mobile employee emails while also gaining access to certain customer financial data.
T-Mobile did not immediately respond to FOX Business’s request for comment. T-Mobile shares were little changed at the start of trading on Monday.
