Parler CEO John Matze told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Monday that he and his colleagues speculated that Amazon Web Services or one of the social media company’s other necessary providers might deny them the service.
“You never think that will happen, do you?” Matze told host Tucker Carlson. “You know? What’s really interesting is that they all did on the same day, these three [Apple, Google and Amazon] without any prior warning. We woke up on Friday thinking about business, business as usual. “
Google removed the Talk app from its Google Play Store on Friday. Apple followed suit on Saturday by removing the app from the App Store, while Amazon Web Services cut Talk about its web hosting services.
Matze told Carlson that when Google quit Speaking, “we didn’t get a review from Google. We first read it online in the newspapers. It’s shocking.”
As a non-partisan company, Parler has become a haven for Trump supporters and others who have been kicked from Facebook and Twitter or who have left those social networks in protest.
Matze said that since Google, Apple and Amazon denied Talking to users access, vendors his team contacted because the replacements refused to work with his company.

“I saw a lot of people say it was scary, but I saw a lot of people who take part in the five minutes of hate and cheer them on and applaud them,” Matze said. “It’s disgusting.”
“People threaten my life,” he continued. “I can’t go home tonight. So that’s really a lot, you know. It’s not just our civil liberties. [Big Tech] can shut down a billion-dollar business overnight, a half-billion-dollar business. “
