BOSTON (WHDH) – The Boston Pops Fireworks Show illuminates the night sky Wednesday as tens of thousands of people watched with admiration.
Wearing red, white and blue, people filled the Esplanade
Keith Lockhart directed his 24th fireworks of the Boston Pops, telling 7News that the show never gets old.
"There is nothing like this experience," he said. "It's really an iconic event not only for Boston but for this country and for the whole world.I would like to think that this shows the best of what America can be."
The Show of the fireworks is one of the largest and oldest public celebrations of July 4th.

Heat and moisture did not cool the spirits who said they liked the show. 19659002] "I'm out of myself," said spectator Lauren Fish. "It's wonderful, I'm from Vermont and it's fine."
Boston Paramedics cared for more than 60 people in tents equipped with fans and oxygen. Among them were taken to the hospital.
"A lot of what we see is related to the heat," said a paramedic. "This is not just a Today's hot day, but it's been hot for three, four, or five days – it's having an effect on people. "
