The controversy over fans of Star Wars and their reactions to the recent release of the series, mainly The Last Jedi caused a sensation online. Not only have two of the major female characters in the series removed their social media due to abuse, but director Rian Johnson and anyone in her general neighborhood has been overrun by angry fans. It is really ridiculous and shed light on the past of the series to prove that this is not a new occurrence.

He not only showed how much Rian Johnson was used to dealing with daily, but he also rang the bell for people to come to the defense of both directors.

And with that, Mangold has presented a real concern that should make the fans think who want to express themselves. Jumping out of the McQuarrie franchise, Mangold says that this kind of "fanatical" reaction will eventually drive out all the daring talent and leave him on the shoulders of the less talented:
