Waititu refutes the allegations that he is a thief, says he's ready for the lifestyle audit

The governor of Kiambu, Ferdinand WAITITU & BABA YAO, recently admitted that he owns property in Nairobi, which he claims to have acquired by borrowing bank loans before his election . The governor said this while speaking in Kiambu County on Sunday.

The governor also refuted the allegations that he issued millions of dollars worth of offers to his relatives accusing his political rivals of propaganda against him

The Governor said that he was more than willing to undergo the lifestyle audit ordered by President Uhuru Kenyatta on officials so that he could make it clear about his properties. 19659005] "When people start to question what the other owns, let them first go to the bank and check the loan amount you have.I am not forbidden to take a loan. I can even take Kshs 1 billion or Kshs 3 billion " said the governor

He rejected claims that he issued offers worth millions to family members.

"All of these claims that you see even on social media that I've published offers worth Kshs 500 Million are peddled by my rivals.They are all lies," said Waititu

Waititu was in the spotlight on the misuse of public funds with various reports showing that it is under investigation.The governor further stated that he had not yet received any summons from the US government. An investigative agency, claiming that he was more than willing to follow them and obey when he would receive them
