A five-day international workshop on tsunami warning center operations and operational procedures for tsunami warning and emergency response will be inaugurated by Madhavan N. Rajeevan , Secretary of the Ministry of Earth Sciences at the Indian National Center of Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), Pragatinagar (Kukatpally) in Hyderabad on July 10.
Director INCOIS SSC Shenoi and other senior scientists will participate in the workshop which will involve more than 80 officials from 18 countries including Australia, Bangladesh, Comoros, India and l & # 39; Indonesia.
Training of officials for emergency maps, plans, procedures, meetings of core teams that are part of tsunami warning activities, etc., are part of the workshop in prelude at "The Oceanic Exercise of the Indian Ocean 2018", scheduled from 4 to 5 September.
