President John Magufuli yesterday revoked the appointment of the Director General of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS), Prof. Godius Kahyarara.
A statement to the media by Management and Presidential Communications indicates that the President has appointed William Erio who was the General Manager of the PPF Pension Fund to replace Professor Kahyarara.
The statement indicated that Professor Kahyarara will be assigned other duties.
He took over the position in March 2016 after the former CEO; Dr. Ramadhani Dau has been appointed Ambassador. Mr. Erio has been President of the Reinsurance Company Zep Re Pta since May 17, 2013 and has been the non-executive director since 2006.
He also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree in Law. University of Dar es Salaam and a Masters Mr. Erio holds senior positions at the Tanzania National Reinsurance Corporation Limited, Azania Bank, IHPL Limited, Tanzania Tea Packers Limited (TATEPA ) and PPL Limited.
