LONDON – Former Chelsea striker Gianfranco Zola is back at the club as assistant to new manager Maurizio Sarri, the Premier League club said on Wednesday.

Zola spent seven years at Stamford Bridge, scoring 80 goals and helping the club win two FA Cups, a Uefa Cup Winners' Cup, a UefaSuper Cup and a League Cup.

"For me it's an incredible thing," Zola said in a statement. the former Italian international as one of the "greatest players of all time" of Chelsea.
