Dar es Salaam. The National Electoral Commission (NEC) has announced the appointment of eight new special advisers for the seats.
New Special Advisers Appointed to Fill Vacant Seats by President Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and Principal Opposition Chadema,
Statement by NEC President Semistocles Kaijage states that the appointment was made at a meeting held on July 19 in the city.
"The appointment was made after receiving information from the minister of state in the office of the president responsible for regional administration and local authorities … the minister has the mandate to do so in under section 13 (1) of the Local Authorities Act, "reads part of the statement
as Ms. Ajira Rajabu Kalinga (Songea-CCM), Mary Kazindogo Mbilinyi (Makete -CCM), Zainab Abdi Mabrouk (Kongwa-CCM).
Others are Restuta Aloyce Gardian (Muleba-CCM), Mrs. Siglinda Sylvesta Ngw ega Morogoro-CCM), Zena Saadi Luzwilo (Kahama-CCM), Neema Michael Massawe (Monduli-CHADEMA) and Mrs. Teodola Myula Kalungwana (Iringa-CHADEMA)
