Bugatti Chiron now with Sky View glass roof option

For the owners and prospects of Bugatti Chiron, the sky is the limit of most things in life, so why not have a clear vision? This is now possible with the new "Sky View" option for the Chiron, which will be showcased at the Monterey Car Week in California next month.

The Sky View option consists of two fixed glass panels in the roof of the Chiron, each 65 cm long and 44 cm wide, directly above the two seats. The panels have a newly developed laminate structure with thin glass and four intermediate layers.

Each layer meets individual requirements. First of all, the noise of unwanted wind is reduced and, secondly, the infrared radiation is reflected. In addition, the glass is tinted to avoid the effects of glare and to protect the privacy of the occupants. Finally, harmful ultraviolet radiation (UVA and UVB) is filtered.

As a side effect, the laminate design improves the rigidity of roof panels. The structural properties of Chiron, including the rigidity of the entire vehicle and safety in the event of an accident, are maintained. Opt for the sky view and you will also get an extra 2.7 cm of height on the regular roof.

The 16-cylinder 1500 horse / 1,600 Nm beast makes a recent pit stop in Malaysia. This car, a Chiron Sport with improved dynamics and a lot of carbon fiber, is sold starting from 12.5 million RM before taxes and options. Also recently launched here is a more affordable version that you can assemble yourself.
