When Young Sheldon, the spin-off centered on the atypical childhood of a certain Sheldon Cooper, was commissioned, our money was already on a potential crossover with the original series, The Big Bang Theory. We'll have to wait a little longer before the episode airs December 6 on CBS in the United States, but even if we already had some theories about the meeting between the two Sheldon, we finally know some more details . .

As TVLine news stories, the episode of The Big Bang Theory in question, entitled "The VCR Illumination", will focus on the relationship between Sheldon and Amy. Both are disappointed after one of their theories has proved wrong, but instead of giving up, Sheldon finds a glimmer of hope in an old VHS tape. This is where we imagine that the crossover with Young Sheldon Sheldon, an adult, will watch moments of his youth on the television screen.

In other words, if we understand well, the actors Jim Parsons (TBBT) and Iain Armitage (Young Sheldon) will appear in the same episode but will not necessarily meet or display on the screen together. We still hope that this will be the case and that Chuck Lorre, the creator of both series, will surprise us with a dialogue scene long awaited. In any case, we are also happy to know that we will see the return of the excellent Christine Baranski (The good fight) as Beverly, Leonard's mother, in the same episode.
