Sarukato asks the High Court to order the establishment of a team of investigators and to work closely with lawyers appointed by Zimbabwe's human rights lawyers to seek out the Retired Lt. Col. Piki Retired to the extent possible, and report to the High Court Clerk every second Friday.

During the court proceedings, Sarukato stated that retired Lieutenant-Colonel Piki was abducted by strangers on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at approximately 4:30 pm from his residence in the Waterfalls suburb of Harare.
Sarukato said that the manner in which her husband was caught betrayed sinister motives while it was treated in the same style and manner as for the democracy activist, Itai Dzamara, still missing since March 9 2015.
She added that her husband had been abducted by strangers, wearing a face mask, who had taken her to an unregistered Toyota double-cab vehicle. Sarukato said during a clash with strangers that they had kidnapped him that one of the kidnappers had told him in clear terms: "… takakuudza kuti regai kuita document rauri kuda kuita , uri kuda ku ku ku ku ku kko, protector Chamisa, chii chako? She said that her husband's whereabouts were currently unknown and that the security of her person and her right to life were therefore seriously threatened.
According to Sarukato, a report was filed with the ZRP under number RRB 3784040. Retired Lt. Col. Piki was scheduled to appear on Monday, November 26, 2018 before the 2018 Post-election Violence Inquiry Committee, which is currently holding public hearings in Harare. present his testimony.
