Turkey should play a role in the renewal and construction of Africa

Today, Africa is a continent with the richest reserves of natural resources in the world, the potential of youth, and the cultural and historical context.

We know that the continent has extremely rich reserves of gold, diamonds, oil, natural gas and basic industrial raw materials.

Every year, nearly 20 million young people join the world of work and this process will continue for another three decades.

When this potential is well utilized, when educational and employment opportunities are available, it can play a very important role in meeting future labor needs around the world.

It could also be said that renewable energy production, including solar and wind energy, will become more widespread, reducing environmental pollution, allowing access to energy and offering new opportunities for energy production. 'employment.

Nearly 60% of the world's arable land is in Africa, but it is not used. This means that this great potential, the biggest land, is enough to feed the world's population – that is to say, to save the future of the world – which should reach 11 billion by the end of the century. in this region.

In other words, the African continent has the potential to eliminate the world's lack of resources in the future with its natural resources, mainly its stock of labor and its land. fertile agricultural.

Unless the rich potential of this continent is not well used (its region being the poorest in the world shows that resources are not well managed), this will lead to increased risks and problems.

One of the most important risks is the lack of education of the young population, its inability to find a job and the fact that it is deprived of an income for its subsistence.

Young people who are unable to find a job will migrate or turn to radical organizations.

In fact, the efforts of the planet to revive the African continent will contribute in the long term to the prevention of the migration wave and the adequate level of production of the necessary food products.

In other words, being benevolent towards Africa will actually serve as an investment for countries in their own future.

Today, 800 million people in Africa do not have access to electricity.

A significant part of the population is deprived of drinking water.

An environment and income level appropriate to continue living in hygienic conditions is out of the question.

The health services, the number of hospitals and doctors are extremely inadequate.

Because of all these conditions, the number of deaths related to epidemics is quite high. Every year, millions of Africans contract deadly epidemics. Part of the African community dies of illness, another of hunger and others of infighting.

Their educational opportunities are very inadequate and do not meet the needs of qualified people.

The world that remains silent in the face of this great human tragedy in Africa is another danger.

What we are trying to say here is that a region endowed with such natural, historical and human wealth has worsened poverty in Africa because of maladministration, while poverty in the world is declining . It is estimated that by 2030, nine of the world's poorest people will live in sub-Saharan Africa and in conflict zones.

The rich resources of Africa have not been distributed equitably to all countries (there is also no fair distribution in the country).

Authorities in autocratic countries have also led to limited cooperation among countries in the region, as well as poor administration.

Increased regional cooperation in recent years increases both the wealth and growth of these countries.

Investments by foreigners in the region remain limited because Africa is a risk area. It is noted that China in particular has discovered the African continent and made large-scale investments, as well as the use of the country's resources as raw material in its own sector.

It should also be noted that the European Union is disrupted by China's profound influence on the African continent.

In recent years, the Turkish government has been trying to increase interest and cooperation on the African continent. However, at this stage, as these cooperative efforts are not part of a strategy, they are insufficient.

The Republic of Turkey should have a comprehensive strategic plan for Africa. This plan should be considered in economic and socio-cultural terms and should incorporate the objective of protecting historical heritage and transfer to the future.

We will develop Africa; we will provide humanitarian aid and, with the businessmen and the power of the state, we will contribute to the development, construction and revitalization of these countries.

This is what the African continent expects from the Turkish nation and this is the mission that our history has assigned to us.
