Riverdale: What's next for Archie and Jughead after "Manhunter"

After escaping from prison and being hid in a bunker, Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) did not delay in realizing Riverdale It was not big enough for Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) and himself. Warning: The following contains spoilers for the episode of Nov. 28 Riverdale"Manhunter."

So, along with his best friend Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Archie broke up with his girlfriend Veronica (Camila Mendes) and hit the road. Everyone guesses where the two friends will meet, but according to Sprouse and Apa, the result will be very different. Riverdale in the next episodes.

"It's really an Archie-Jughead story, which is pretty rare," Sprouse told GameSpot and other journalists during his visit to Riverdaleis set. "So you get that for a lot of the episodes, it's really just a little Archie and Jughead and it's a lot of fun and they're having fun and they're running away, [like] Support me. It's really fun. "

He is not wrong in pointing out that there are very few scenarios centered on the friendship between Archie and Jughead. Even though they are the best friends of comics, they are so distressed by the trials and tribulations of life in a city as horrible as dangerous, like Riverdale, where they have time to be friends.

Now, with Riverdale at the back, thanks to Hiram's obsession with destroying this teenager, Archie can live an adventure with his boyfriend wherever he is. Of course, that does not mean it's going to last too long. Eventually, both will have to return to Riverdale. As Apa says, however, they can not go home at the same time.

"They end up in a difficult situation, like a fork in the road," he said. "They have to separate at one point."

What separates them remains to be seen, but Riverdale needs a lot of attention. Betty (Lili Reinhart) is locked up in Sisters of Quiet Mercy, while her mother has fled into a sect. The Gargoyle King leaves a caravan of corpses because some people take Dungeons and Dragons too seriously. Hiram is apparently involved in everything that happens in the city limits. Archie and Jughead can not ignore the atrocities that have been happening literally in their garden for so long.
