(REUTERS) – The Cleveland Cavaliers exchanged caution Kyle Korver at Utah Jazz against Alec Burks and two future second-round picks, ESPN reported Wednesday night.
According to the report, the Jazz, which starts at 9-12, send second round picks in 2020 (theirs) and 2021 (Washington Wizards).
Korver, who has played for Jazz for more than two seasons from 2007 to 2010, has seen his role diminish in Cleveland, with the Cavaliers giving more minutes to young players this season. Korver is averaging 6.8 points in 15.7 minutes per game, his two lowest numbers since his rookie season in 2003-04.
At 37, the shooter remains deadly, reaching 46.3% of his three shots, which is higher than his career average of 43.2%. In 2009-10, Korver set a one-season record with 53.6% success in 52 games for the Jazz.
The Korver contract is capped at $ 7.6 million ($ 10.4 million) this season and $ 7.5 million for 2019-2020, of which $ 3.4 million is guaranteed. The Cavaliers had apparently been shopping with guard JR Smith, who recently left the team.
Burks, 27, averaged 8.4 points in 15.8 minutes per game, while he shot 37.2 percent of his goals in 17 games for Utah this season. The eighth-year professional has a career average of 9.6 points in 20.8 minutes per game on 382 contests (43 starts), all for Utah, which ranked him 12th overall in 2011.
