Arsenal 4 Leicester 3, Premier League 11 August 2017
MYes, it was the fact that it was the opening day of the season, maybe it was the postman on Friday night, maybe it was because neither of the parties could not defend himself to save their lives. Whatever the case may be, Arsenal's 4-3 win over Leicester last August was the most ridiculous match I saw in concert.
The mark began after 94 seconds when debutant Alexandre Lacazette tipped his head in front of Arsenal. Three minutes later, Leicester was tied through Shinji Okazaki, before Jamie Vardy and Danny Welbeck exchanged goals to leave the match at 2-2 at half-time. In reality, the score could have been about double what it was, while Rob Holding, Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac, offered little resistance.
Indeed, Vardy took advantage of greater leeway to give Leicester the advantage early in the second period.
He stayed that way until the 83rd minute, when substitute Aaron Ramsey crushed the Arsenal level to give relief to the restless natives. Moments later, another replacement, Olivier Giroud, freed himself from Harry Maguire's attack to face Kasper Schmeichel in the 85th minute.
