While their families and friends joined the couple in the princely state, reports indicate that security measures have been tightened at the palace. It was closed to tourists for the duration of the wedding. an announcement announcing, "for security reasons, the palace will be closed to the public from 29 November 2018 to 3 December 2018".
According to a video on a fan account on social media, the guests received a royal welcome, with drumming drums.

The couple launched their wedding celebrations with a puja at Chopra Mumbai's house on Wednesday. They will now welcome a Mehendi and the sangeet ceremony at Jodhpur, before knotting the knot according to the Hindu and Christian rituals at the palace.
