We have no idea what Navi cards will look like
NEW GENERATION NAVI OF AMD GPUs should come in three different forms, but Team Red's high-end cards are not expected to be available until 2020.
According to rumors and analyzes, AdoredTV has specified that seven graphics cards based on Navi would be available when the next generation graphics architecture of AMD will debut in the fall of 2019.
The Navi family will be driven by the Navi 20 range including the Radeon RX 3090 XT and RX 3090, the midrange will be supported by the Navi 10 Radeon RX 3080 XT, RX 3080 and RX 3070 XT GPUs, and the strangely numbered series Navi 12 will support the next-generation Radeon range of the next generation with the RX 3070 and RX 3060.
The Navi 10 and 12 charts are expected by the end of 2019, but the high-end Navi 20 could be delayed.
Indeed, the new generation Radeon Instinct cards would not provide the expected performance and efficiency of the 7 nanometer process node on which they will be based.
Before going into the details of this latest nugget that the rumor spat out, here is some basic information about Radeon Instinct. Unlike normal Radeon cards, Instinct GPUs are not intended for graphic processing of games or professional graphics. Instead, they apply parallel processing to computerized and in-depth workloads.
Although Instinct cards are not designed for the average Joe or Jane, there is concern that performance, power consumption, and heat are not up to scratch.
According to rumors, it would seem that AMD might need a little more time for the overall performance of Navi 20 Instinct GPUs to meet expectations.
That's not to say that performance-oriented mainstream Navi graphics cards will not make their debut in the coldest months of 2019, but they suggest that they might not be as energy efficient as some might wish it.
However, it is only speculation, and reports based on information from a source perfectly familiar with AMD's graphical machinations could simply contain information about Navi test results from 39; AMD.
When Navi cards start, AMD could have optimized its next graphical architecture. After all, the PlayStation 5 will use Navi-based graphics, which would suggest that architecture has some of its ** s ratings. μ
