CHICAGO (CBS) – Bambi, eat your heart.
A cute little antelope was born at Brookfield Zoo, and she could be the most valuable creature ever mounted on all fours.
Kirk's dik-dik baby, one of the world's smallest antelope species, weighed only when he was born on June 4th. At full growth, the African antelope will weigh 12 to 14 pounds and will only measure 14 to 16 inches at the shoulder.

For the moment, he is eating chopped hay and drinking four to five bottles of milk a day. The staff will soon start giving him other cereals and producing them.
Although he has access to an outdoor habitat when the zoo is closed, it is not visible to the public. Instead, visitors can see a pair of Kirk's dik-dik when the zoo is open.
Zoo officials say that dik-diks vary in color, depending on their habitat, but are easily identified by their large dark eyes. each surrounded by a white ring.
The zoo has not yet said when the baby dik-dik will make his public debut at the zoo.
