The penultimate ranking of the college football playoffs is over and the Oklahoma Sooners are the big winners.
At one week of the four-team selection by the committee, Oklahoma climbed to fifth place, a prime spot for the Ohio State. The Sooners are still not sure of qualifying for the playoffs with a win in the Big 12 Championship game, but if they were to return to OU and Ohio State, the Sooners would have the advantage.
In all, eight teams still have a way to go for the playoffs. Below, we have ranked the remaining candidates according to who has the best chance of participating in the playoffs.
