Police have asked to continue to detain for 14 days a woman who fled Dubai after supposedly stole 140 million shillings in order to carry out her investigations.

In an affidavit filed before Senior Magistrate Milimani Benson Nzioka by the Criminal Investigations Branch, the detectives need days because of the complexity of Rebecca Mueni's case.

The magistrate has detained her until today to rule on DCI's application.
