Like many children in the 1980s, I fell under the massive influence of the Nintendo 8 bit entertainment system. When Nintendo announced the Game Boy in 1989, it was like a doubling of superhero type success. The ability to play an official Nintendo video game at the back of a moving car (or illicitly at school) was hallucinating.
I was not the only one to love the console. The American pack, Tetris, has become the flagship application of the system, and this simple but addictive puzzle game offers infinite replayability value. Thanks to Tetris, many adults have found it socially acceptable to play Game Boy in public, a radical change for the video game at the time.
