Google announced yesterday that the default clock application d 39; Android adds music alarms with a new integration of Spotify. Version 5.3 with this feature is deployed now and has some small visual adjustments throughout the application.

Spotify Integration
If you have not already installed Spotify for Android, the "Sound Alarm" page will open a Play Store prompt to download it. Once logged in, users will be prompted to "log in" their account and grant permission in Spotify to
"The Google Clock app."
The new Spotify tab first lists your songs, albums and playlists "Recently played and selected" based on your listening history in the streaming service. Below are several morning-themed playlists grouped into categories such as "Rise and Shine", "Lazy Mornings", "Morning Workout", and more. Each item has an overflow menu to open the full list in the Spotify app.
When the alarm goes off, the Clock app uses the album artwork of the selected song as the background, while the track name is shown at the bottom. A Spotify playback notification remains when you close the alarm, allowing users to continue listening quickly.

How to update?
Version 5.3 of Google Clock is being rolled out via the Play Store. We do not publish APKs for download directly because of the legal challenges associated with copyright and the possibility of deletion. Meanwhile, this model is perilous given the changes in the upcoming system of Android App Bundles and Google Play Dynamic Delivery.
