Jillian Apfelbaum has been appointed Executive Vice President Content Village Roadshow Entertainment Group.
As part of an internal mandate to increase production volume, Apfelbaum has been tasked with researching and developing feature films and monitoring potential television and digital opportunities.
She will report to Bruce Berman, CEO and President of Village Roadshow Pictures, under the leadership of Steve Mosko, the CEO who has just been appointed CEO of Village Roadshow Entertainment Group.
"Jillian's appointment as a senior content executive marks a new chapter for VREG that consists of telling stories and engaging the audience beyond the movies and in the area of television and related platforms." said Mosko in a statement.
Apfelbaum joined the company after serving as film director at Imperative Entertainment. She has supervised creative and physical productions on projects such as the upcoming Warner Bros. film. "The Mule", with Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper.
She has also been producer on the set of Emma Thompson-Mindy Kaling's "Late Night" and is involved in the large-scale adaptation of the bestseller "Killers of the Flower Moon". Prior to joining Imperative, Apfelbaum the New York-based Ars Nova production company, where she worked with playwrights and acquired, developed and produced a variety of humorous projects.
