The model announced that she was expecting her first child in an Instagram post on Saturday afternoon. The future father is Upton's husband Justin Verlander, a pitcher for the Houston Astros, who shared the news in an adorable Instagram on his own, shortly after the publication of Upton

assisted by his family and his close friends – just days after the Astros won the World Series (not a bad couple of days for the newlyweds).

Upton shared the news of her pregnancy with a picture of her in bright red, ankle length costume posed on a balcony of the hotel in Miami. She kept the legend short and simple: "#PregnantinMiami @justinverlander ?❤️"

Verlander, meanwhile, has exposed a little more than Upton has done – and it's clear to everyone that these two are more excited by the news
