Kenyans Behind Sh140m Dubai Sequester Arrested in Namanga :: Kenya

Police detain a woman and a man suspected of stealing 140 million shillings (5 million dirhams) in Dubai three months ago.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch (DCI) arrested Rebecca Mweni Musau and recovered 13 million Sh from her new home in Ruai.

She was arrested on Wednesday at the Namanga border following a whistleblowing from immigration officials who realized her passport had been reported .

She was brought to Nairobi, where she was interrogated and then took the team home where they found the money, which would have been part of the loot seized during transit, said DCI George Kinoti.

He added that the suspect may have arrived earlier in the country, but that he had gone to Tanzania for other companies.
