Paul Pogba performed well at the World Cup for France

At United, he plays with fear.

But when he plays for his country, he knows that he will play the 90 minutes and he plays with so much more freedom.

He's world class, he has everything in his locker – it does not happen often enough at Old Trafford.

I think he looks nervous when he plays for United, but he goes out and expresses for France

It's probably to the two directors – Didier Deschamps and Jose Mourinho – and the way they treat him.

Kylian Mbappe seems to be having fun in this World Cup too. Pogba made a good tournament but Mbappe is probably their star and what he does at his age is phenomenal.

He is only 19 years old and has already scored in the final of the World Cup.

GK: Jordan Pickford (England) – Before the tournament, there were doubts about his credentials, but the Everton man was phenomenal in Russia. His rescue in the shootout victory over Colombia will never be forgotten

To put this into perspective, Pele is the only other player to have done so.

But honestly, I'm not sure that he is the heir of Lionel Messi and Cristiano The throne of Ronaldo as the best players in the world for the moment

He relies heavily on his pace, and I think we need to see a little more of him before putting him up with Messi and Ronaldo.

Deserved France They win the World Cup and they will be favorites to win the Euro in two years.

They improved as the tournament progressed and scoring four goals in the final showed how good they are.

They will be the team to beat the Euros and most of their players have not yet reached their top, which is scary.

France defeated Argentina, Uruguay, Belgium and Croatia in the knockout stages to lift the trophy

C & That's why we should not have too much recounted how England did during this tournament. Yes, they have restored faith in the team and it is important.

And they went further than many people thought that they would also do it by reaching the semifinals, which is the merit of Gareth Southgate and his players. I would be shocked if England ended up winning the next Euros

It's even harder to win than the World Cup because there's more quality in this tournament.

In the cold light of day, we only played three games against teams England was really discovered and we could see her in the play-off against Belgium. They just have better individual players than us.

People say it's a young team and it'll be better, but everyone will be better too. The top three of Belgium will be at their best at Euros and they will have more chances to win than us.

Kylian Mbappe became only the second teenager to score in a World Cup Final after Pele

That's why this tournament should ultimately be considered a Missed opportunity for England. We have come so close to reaching the final and we may never get such a good chance to do it again.

Kieran Trippier did a lot of good for his reputation. He was one of the tournament players for me.

Harry Maguire grew up in the tournament and made a name for himself now. But he looked tired in the end.

And Jordan Pickford did well. People were asking questions about him before the tournament, but he answered everyone.

I think it will only improve and that it should be the # 1 for years to come.

But apart from these three

At least this World Cup got the final it deserved. I think it's perhaps the most exciting World Cup of all time. But the standard has not been good.

There were so many goals in the sets, and how many players are you leaving the tournament thinking, "wow, he was world class"?

Luka Modric is one of them. He deserved the Golden Ball as the best player of the tournament. I think he's been brilliant throughout the tournament and getting to the finals with Croatia was phenomenal.

But a lot of shocks and tragedies happened because a lot of big teams were awful. I called on Germany and Argentina to not be up to scratch before the finals start.

I was not sure about Spain either, and they ended up being poor too. Brazil was the biggest surprise for me. I thought they were better than they are

So, if you are looking for excitement, drama and shocks, it was the best World Cup all time.

But for the level of football? No way.
