Lawmaker of Georgia who used the racial insult on television will resign

ATLANTA (AP) – The state MP who has exposed and launched racist insults against the new television series of provocateur Sacha Baron Cohen will resign, according to a door – Speaker of the House David Ralston. Jason Spencer will step down at the end of the month, spokesman Kaleb McMichen told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday.

In Cohen's Showtime series, "Who Is America?" Cohen poses as an Israeli military expert who persuades Spencer to take part in several wacky exercises. The legislator is saying that they are making a counter-terrorism video.

Spencer repeatedly shouts a racial insult to the blacks after Cohen tells him that the tactics are helpful in getting the attention of the spectators on an ongoing attack.

then his underwear, before moving back to Cohen shouting "USA!" and "America!" Cohen told Spencer that the move would incite fear among homophobic jihadists. The segment also shows Spencer speaking with a fake Asian accent while claiming to use a selfie-stick to surreptitiously insert a camera phone under the burqa of a Muslim woman.

Ralston and others called for his immediate resignation.

Spencer apologized for "the ridiculously ugly episode", but he initially refused to resign.

Spencer lost the Republican primary in May, but could have remained in the public service during the November elections.
