Look: The Toyota Supra prototype makes its dynamic debut

Goodwood – As promised, a prototype of Toyota's all-new Supra has made its dynamic debut on this year's famous Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Making an appearance every four days (July 12, 13, 14 and 15), the Supra prototype is piloted by Chief Engineer Testuya Tada and expert pilot Herwig Daenens. Watch the new sports car in action below:

Although the car is disguised, most of the design elements are clear to see and it takes a lot of inspiration from the concept of of 2014.

The collaboration with BMW – meaning that it is essentially based on the next generation Z4 – Supra Toyota reincarnated features a straight six-cylinder of 3 liters that drives the rear wheels .

Exact releases have not been confirmed, but it will certainly produce more than 340 horsepower (250kW), with some sources even around numbers as high as 285kW and 500Nm.

The Supra is expected to be fully revealed in early September and will go on sale in South Africa during the first half of 2019.
