Tanzanian President John Magufuli fired his Interior Minister after an increase in road accidents in the country

Dr. Magufuli says he's tired of it to send his condolences to the affected families

He described Dr. Nchemba as not being competent enough to discharge the responsibilities entrusted to him.

"I am sick of sending condolences, everyday accidents happen and no one seems concerned except me. Even the Minister of the Interior never bothered to send his condolences or attend a funeral. I'm tired of doing that.

"For example in Mbeya, 40 people have already died in two weeks.No action has been taken even if it means that the commander of the provincial police (PRC) or the commander of the road traffic (RTO) must be fired.It is not my job, but the ministers and the permanent secretary … ", said Magufuli, irritated, addressing the meeting.
