Many will argue that Kenya's showbiz industry is mainly concentrated in major cities, Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa with Nairobi's capital was the cream of the crop of the industry but thanks to Safaricom Twaweza Live new destinations are born.

The Live Edition of Meru Twaweza has spawned spectacular talents that will soon be big shots in the showbiz industry.

It is estimated that 16,000 Kenyan music fans performed at the Safaricom Twaweza Live concert at Kinoru Stadium, Meru, after a 10-day activation in the Mount Kenya and Northeast regions.

The concert was preceded by traveling caravans, a free medical camp, campus takeovers, great device offerings, a Digifarm Farmers Engagement Forum, research activities from talents and a music concert.

The concert featured performances of; David Wonder, MC Alemba, DJ Deff, DJ Pierra, DJ Joe Mfalme, King Kaka, Njugush, Nyashinski, Mercy Masika, Wahu, Bahati, Karimi Bruno and GMX The Baite.

The campaign, which began in May, aims to make a positive impact on the lives of Kenyans by providing relevant products and services, providing world-class entertainment, and providing hard-hitting investments in communities across the country.

"Through local talent auditions of Safaricom Twaweza Live, we connect people with opportunities by offering them a platform to showcase their talent, and together we would like to contribute to talent development and the construction of the Kenyan music industry, "said George Mbyuki, director of Safaricom in the Mount Kenya and Northeast regions.

Winner in her category, the future singer Meru Immaculate Kaimuri, aka Emma Kaim, will collaborate with Wahu on a recording that will be produced by the famous engineer Eric Musyoka. Emma Kaim is a member of the All Star Band and has released some singles.

"Meru has a vibrant entertainment industry but it remains largely untapped due to negative perceptions," Emma Kaim told Music in Africa. "People do not think that there are good singers in Meru and I hope that my victory will give them wrong.

"Alongside superstars, I grew up idolizing, it was a great experience." One day after the concert my photo appeared in the Daily Nation next to Wahu. dream come true Advertising really boosts my career and companies are already offering support for my community development programs. "

The winner of the master drummer category, Fahim, will be flanked by MC Alemba, while Joe Mfalme will guide spinning spin master DJ Tremor. The winners occurred during Safaricom Twaweza Live's concert at Kinoru Stadium on Saturday where Paul Mwangi, aka DJ Boboss, was arguably the most eccentric find of the audition. The 20-year-old man used cardboard and recycled plastic to make his DIY deck, mixer and microphone.

"Networking with other artists and potential bookers was the best part of my win," said DJ Treamor. "The concert gave Meru performers worldwide recognition because we were broadcast live on all Safaricom platforms, so participating in this show really boosted my profile and gave me greater bargaining power. "

Twaweza's live series, which started in Eldoret, will now travel to Mombasa, Kisumu, Machakos and finally Nairobi.
