TORONTO – Another price hike is about to arrive for Netflix Canada viewers.
The video streaming service expects its largest price increase for both new subscribers and its existing members. He says the move will help partially fund future investments in programming.
The standard Netflix package will now cost $ 3 more, or $ 13.99 a month, to watch content on two screens at a time.
The basic package, which does not offer high definition video and only allows one streaming stream, amounts to $ 9.99 per month.
Premium subscribers will have to pay an additional $ 3, or $ 16.99 per month, for up to four simultaneous streams and one ultra-high definition 4K video.
Netflix says the changes will take effect immediately for new subscribers, while current members will see their billing increase further in the coming weeks. The company last raised its prices in August 2017.
