New Porsche Macan debuts world with improved design and driving dynamics

Porsche took the wheels of the new updated version of the Macan. Launched in 2014, the Macan has gained considerable popularity in the SUV segment. While it received a sweet cosmetic update in 2015, Porsche has now further improved the SUV inside and out. Porsche claims to have improved the new Macan in terms of design, comfort, connectivity and driving dynamics. The cabin has been enhanced with a new infotainment system with voice control, etc. The SUV now also has more comfort features.

The new Porsche Macan reflects several design details of the 911 and 918 Spyder. The SUV receives a three-dimensional LED taillight and the headlights are also LED. The design of LED lighting can be further optimized – Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS) can be used to adaptively control the distribution of light.

Porsche has extended the list of comfort options to include a heated windshield and an ionizer to improve the quality of air in the cabin. The Macan is now more customizable than previously with new exterior colors such as "Miami Blue", "Mamba Green Metallic" "Dolomite Silver Metallic" and "Pencil" combined with new interior packages.

The new SUV has been equipped with Traffic Jam Assist which includes an adaptive cruise control for a relaxed driving experience at speeds up to 60 km / h. The system features partially automated accelerations and braking, and helps navigate in traffic jams or slow traffic.

Porsche Communication Management (PCM) embeds the new Macan provides connectivity and many functions. It gets the typical Porsche center console and a seven to eleven inch full HD touch screen that has been incorporated into the newly designed instrument panel. Just like in the Panamera and Cayenne, the user interface of the infotainment system can be customized using predefined thumbnails. The vents have also been remodeled and are now positioned under the center screen.
