Coastal region. The NMB Bank spent 900 million shillings on $ 1 billion between January and November 2018 to support the government's efforts to address the challenges facing the education and health sectors.

Anneth Kwayu, NMB Public Relations Manager for the East Zone, revealed this information yesterday, shortly after handing over the donation of 96 offices and chairs of the bank that cost Shillings 10 million to Kibaha District Commissioner Assumpter Mshama.

DC Mshana received the desks and chairs for the Mihande and Dossa Azizi secondary schools in the coastal region.

Kwayu explained that to thank the company for being excellent clients of the bank, the NMB management had allocated its budget each year to address the different challenges that communities faced, through various donations to hospitals, clinics, primary and secondary schools.

"We recognize the efforts of the government to put in place a good environment for members of the public, including the improvement of the health and education sectors.

"We are therefore at the forefront of supporting these efforts in different parts of the country and we promise to continue in this direction," said Kwayu.

Ms. Mshama said that to enable students to benefit from the fruits of the industrial economy in the near future, it was necessary to put in place a user-friendly infrastructure for learning various lessons.

For his part, head of Dossa Azizi Secondary School, Mr. Joel Iringo, said the donation had eased the fears that gripped him, as did his counterpart at Mihande High School, especially because that students had joined Form One in 2019.

Expressing on behalf of the other students after the donation, Mihande Secondary School, Abdul Kondo and Abdul Hamza of the Azizi Secondary School Dossa, thanked the NMB leaders for remembering them and asked the other institutions to imitate the action of this financial institution.
