The McLaren 720S is currently dominating the world of supercars in drag racing, but that has not stopped Novitec tuners from getting extra power for increased performance. They did more than that, because the Super Series machine also underwent an extreme aerodynamic makeover in the same vein as the radical Senna.
Novitec's new upgrade offer for the 720S Coupe is much sharper than the discreet kit launched a few months ago, which made only a few subtle changes compared to the standard car. This time, the flashy makeover brings a significantly wider body (+60 mm at the front and +130 mm at the rear), complemented by a custom suspension lowering the ride height of 35 mm.
The rather unusual paint scheme contrasts with a generous use of carbon fiber, visible on the side mirror caps, the rear fender and several other areas. Then there is the soundtrack provided by the custom exhaust system, which perfectly matches the extravagant body of the McLaren. She is powerful and demands your attention immediately.
The 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine was massaged at 795 horsepower and impressive torque of 878 Newton meters (648 lb-ft). For reference, the 720S standard offers 710 hp and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft). The performance of the car is perfectly reflected in the weight of the car, the sprint at 100 km / h taking only 2.7 seconds or two tenths of a second less than the standard car. Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that Novitec has managed to reduce the 0-124 mph (0-200 km / h) sprint by three tenths of a second, which has now taken place in just 7.5 seconds. Flat, it will be 345 km / h or a little more than the regular model.
Novitec plans to maintain the exclusivity of the N-Largo based on the 720S and will convert only 15 cars. It will be a rare sight.
