The 10GB model is coupled with 256GB of built-in storage. There are two other references, one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and the other with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The three models are equipped with a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 2160×1080 (18: 9 aspect ratio) and a 2.5D curved glass screen, a support Dual SIM card and a fingerprint sensor at the back. The frequency of display on the screen is not clear. For comparison, the ROG Phone runs at 90 Hz and the Razer Phone 2 goes even higher, reaching 120Hz.
It is interesting to note that there is only one camera on the back of the phone, a 16-megapixel shooter with f / 1.8 aperture and a two-color LED flash. Most high-end handsets nowadays use at least two camera sensors at the back. Nubia must have understood that mobile gamers will not give priority to camera performance, but for a set of otherwise tedious features, it seems a misstep on the part of the company.
To take selfies, there is an 8-megapixel camera with an f / 2.0 aperture and a wide-angle lens at the front of the phone.
The Red Magic Mars also features a cooling system that Nubia calls ICE. It is a combination of liquid and air cooling. According to Nubia, it can reduce temperatures by 13.2 degrees and increase processor performance by 70%.
It's an interesting phone, but it remains to be seen if it will be shipped on American soil (we do not hold our breath). The price in China is set at CNY 2,699 (about US $ 388) for the 6 GB + 64 GB model, at CNY 3,199 (~ US $ 460) for the 8 GB + 128 GB model and at CNY 3,999 (US $ 576) for the model 10 GB + 256 GB.
