Muscat: Oman Air plans to fly to Sudan, among other countries, as the airline plans to expand its destinations in Africa.
The national carrier is already flying in Cairo, Nairobi, Zanzibar, Dar Es Salaam and on July 1 launched its service four times a week in Casablanca, Morocco.
The network and planning team assesses the viability of other new roads and painstakingly studies Khartoum in Sudan.
African roads are already very popular with Oman Air passengers and the airline has recently increased its summer schedule in Egypt from 10 flights a week to 12 due to demand.
Last year, Oman Air launched its service four times a week in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The service five times a week from Zanzibar has been a long-time favorite of vacationers.
Oman Air also flies five times a week to Dar Es Salaam, the largest city and economic capital of Tanzania and the second busiest port in East Africa.
