Queensland suffers first loss of the season in Victoria

Victoria suffered its first loss to the Sheffield Shield 2018-2019 after Queensland beat them through eight wickets in Brisbane on Thursday (November 29th), closing the match in three days. Taking the day with a lead of 53, with five wickets down, Victoria only managed to add 34 points before being eliminated for 191.

Michael Neser asked Glenn Maxwell early in the day to connect Victoria. Maxwell, who started the day on the 29th, was fired for 35 years. No other drummer then scored doubles, as the lower order offered little resistance, Mark Steketee cleaning them to finish with a shot of four.

With just 87 losses, Queensland lost Usman Khawaja and Matt Renshaw, but was not beaten during the match with man Joe Burns – who also scored 96 goals – and Charlie Hemphrey was successful to cross the line.
