Showtime announced a new December musical documentary series featuring Jeff Beck, Korn's guitarist Brian "Head" Welch, GG Allin and Agnostic Front. The network viewed all four titles in a trailer featuring interviews and live images.
Jeff Beck: still on the run will be presented on Tuesday, December 11 at 19:30. ET / PT, followed by Agnostic front: the godfathers of hardcore Wednesday 12 at 7 pm ET / PT; GG Allin: All in the family Thursday 13 at 22h ET / PT; and Korn 'Brian' Head 'Welch: Loud Krazy Love Friday 14 at 22h ET / PT.
With documentary Beck, director Matthew Longfellow recounts the beginnings and musical development of the former Yardbirds member, who Rolling stone ranked the fifth greatest guitarist of all time. The project will tackle Beck's debut playing house guitar: "his teenage friendship with [Led Zeppelin’s] Jimmy Page "and mastering his technique throughout an acclaimed career.
In the film Agnostic Front, director Ian McFarland follows guitarist Vinnie Stigman and singer Roger Miret three decades after helping to shape the hardcore punk movement. With All in the family, director Sami Saif explores Allin's life as a controversial shock-rock and punk character – from his troubled childhood to adulthood filled with drugs, violence and prison time. In Fort Krazy LoveFilmmakers Trey Hill and Scott Mayo focus on Korn's departure, which transformed Welch's life in 2005, and his journey of fatherhood and self-discovery.
