Johannesburg, South Africa (ADV) – The Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME) of South Africa is to meet for a consultative workshop with various stakeholders in the framework of the process of revising 25 years of democracy in South Africa next week (4 December).

In South Africa, the year 1994 saw the transition of the government of the South African national party that had ruled the country since 1948 and defended the apartheid system for most of its history in the National Congress which has been banned in South Africa since the 1950s for its opposition to apartheid.

The year 2019 marks the 25th anniversary of democracy in South Africa.

According to DPME, the consultative workshop will provide a platform for all sectors and individuals to openly share their experiences of the last 25 years, engage in the interventions implemented, describe achievements, challenges and challenges. lessons learned and share solutions that could shape future plans.

Representatives from the business community, trade unions, civil society, political parties, representatives of the public, senior officials and ordinary citizens should also attend.
