These nine noble families of Westeros gather. HBO confirmed Wednesday that a special show on the Game of Thrones meeting had been filmed earlier this year in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and fans will have the opportunity to see it – but not on the network.
As announced for the first time by Entertainment Weekly, members of the cast, including long-time Sean Bean, who plays Ned Stark, came to Belfast to film the special, hosted by Conan O & # 39. ; Brien.
But HBO will not be showing this video after last season ends in 2019. (What, do you think it was The Bachelor: After the Final Rose?)
Instead, EW reports that the reunion will only take place on a gigantic home video box of all eight seasons. HBO confirmed the special, but did not immediately confirm whether the meeting would be available on another medium.
Sean Bean, whose short-lived Ned Stark was a fan favorite, is the only former cast member confirmed to have returned for the meeting. But it seems possible that Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo, escaped from Aquaman's Atlantis to meet with Daenerys. He certainly shared photos on Instagram of himself in Northern Ireland.
What about Catelyn Stark (actress Michelle Fairley), the author of the unique character George R.R. Martin would bring back to the show he could? Seeing Mother Stark coming back with her offspring would be comforting, given all that they have experienced.
The details are sparse, but it's kind of something to expect after the last season. Game of Thrones will be back in April.
