PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) – The company behind several hit sites in Pigeon Forge is in the process of being purchased.
The Fee / Hedrick Family Entertainment Group, behind Comedy Barn, Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud, Smoky Mountain Opry and others, is purchased by World Choice Investments, LLC. This company is behind the Dolly Parton Dinner shows.
According to a group press release to employees, this purchase is expected to take effect in January of next year.
"We are delighted and honored that such a world-class company buys our brands with the goal of making them bigger and better," the press release says.
The company is also sponsoring a business cruise in the Bahamas, and the release says it will donate more than $ 5 million to its employees.
World Choice, according to the press release, allows all shows to continue as is throughout 2019.
